Kicking a Dead Horse by Sam Shepard

Shepard’s latest play, Kicking a Dead Horse will be presented for a limited 16 performances. This Abbey Theatre, Dublin, production stars Academy Award nominated Stephen Rea as a wealthy Manhattan art dealer, Hobart Struther. The play follows Hobart’s decision to exchange his comfortable New York
lifestyle in search of authenticity in the modern-day Wild West.

Samuel West will direct Harley Granville Barker’s Waste which was written in 1907, then promptly banned by the Lord Chamberlain due to its controversial subject. Exploring the relationship between private morality and the public life of powerful politicians, the quality of Granville Barker’s writing is exceptional; articulate and witty.

In a Dark Dark House by Neil LaBute
European Premiere
Almeida Artistic Director, Michael Attenborough will direct this hugely powerful and moving play, which explores the relationship of two brothers as the events of their childhood are gradually revealed.
