Director of Marketing and Communications (maternity cover)

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for leading the marketing, sales and communications function of the theatre, which includes generating around £1.4 million in ticket sales each year and maintaining the high profile of the Almeida Theatre.

The Almeida’s new Artistic Director, Rupert Goold, has an ambitious vision for the organisation, and this role is critical to delivering new audiences for the Company. 2014 is an exciting year for the marketing team whose current major projects include a rebrand, organisational relaunch and an overhaul of our digital strategy.

The successful candidate will balance a creative flair and knowledge of theatre with proven marketing experience. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and be enthusiastic to join at an exciting time of change for the Company.

This post is offered as a fixed term position for approximately seven months

Job Description

 

Student Placements

We offer placements to students for whom it is part of their course or programme of study at college or university. You must be studying on an appropriate course which relates to a specific department within the theatre company.

The departments which offer short and medium-term student placements are Stage Management and Wardrobe. Placements are full-time and last for 8 - 10 weeks maximum in Stage Management and 2 weeks minimum in Wardrobe.

Post graduate student placements are available in the Administration department, based in the offices and focusing on office management and producing.
