A large proportion of our work takes place with our partner schools, colleges and community organisations. With our partners, Almeida Projects collaborates on in-depth residencies and durational projects inspired by, or directly exploring, the productions taking place on the Almeida Theatre stage, and those issues most important to the group of students and teachers participating.
Residencies are led by arts industry and education professionals and are usually structured around a series of workshops, delivered according to the Almeida's rehearsal etiquette, culminating in a shared presentation of students' work. All residencies involve a visit to the theatre in some capacity; participants might take part in a Discovery Workshop exploring behind the scenes, see a production at the Almeida Theatre or present their work on our stage to an invited audience.

Bespoke Projects
From time to time, and depending on demand and interest, Almeida Projects devises and delivers other bespoke projects.
Young Friends of the Almeida
The Young Friend of the Almeida scheme was launched in 2008 to encourage young people to continue their relationship with the Almeida Theatre outside of school time. Membership of the scheme is free and Young Friends are entitled to a number of benefits and workshop opportunities throughout the year. For more information click here.
Teachers' Evenings
In addition to the projects that we run with our partner schools and community groups, we also hold regular Teachers' Evenings for performing arts teachers in Islington, Camden, Hackney, Haringey and Tower Hamlets. For more information click here.
Trainee Workshop Leaders
Since 2008, Almeida Projects has run a year-long vocational training course for new workshop leaders and facilitators. The course runs annually from September - August and application is by CV and covering letter. For more information click here.
