Our residency and workshop packages bring the expertise of our practitioners in to your school from one-off workshops to year-long residencies. We work with you to tailor a creative programme of theatre-based workshops responding to your students' academic and creative needs.
What is a residency?
Residencies are year-long partnerships, offering weekly workshops and theatre-craft masterclasses in secondary schools. Residencies result in termly performances on the Almeida stage.
Delivered with a view to the development of long-term relationships with teachers, students and theatre staff, residencies are embedded into the curriculum and respond to the theatre’s artistic programme.
"This sort of project is so worthwhile for our students: it gives them the opportunity to work in a professional manner with different practitioners and then to perform in an exciting space to a live audience. I cannot value this too highly in terms of their development, learning and attainment."

Our residency packages are offered in 3 tiers to accommodate your timetable and budget.
What is a Workshop Package?
If a residency partnership doesn’t fit in with your needs, we also offer workshop packages ranging from half a day to a full week of work in your school. All workshop packages result in a performance or presentation in school at the end.
Wherever possible we aim to link our workshop packages to current Almeida Theatre productions, however if you would like a workshop on a past production or a specific area of theatre-craft, please do get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
To discuss becoming a residency partner school or for details of our current workshop packages and prices, please contact the Almeida Projects team on 020 7288 4916 or email projects@almeida.co.uk and someone will be able to help.
