Do you want to learn how to facilitate workshops with young people?
Following the success of our PG Cert in Applied Theatre with Young People the Almeida Theatre have created an introduction to facilitation for those who want to get a sense of what it’s like to work as a professional facilitator.
This five-day course is designed for drama and arts graduates, actors and/or directors who want to move into the field of facilitation. The course focusses on planning and evaluating workshops; managing behaviour and group dynamics; working as a freelancer; and building a toolkit of games and exercises. Breaking facilitation down into its key components, we aim to support you to develop your own style and look at the challenges you might face ‘in the room’.
More than just learning workshop delivery, the course will enable you to plan, facilitate and evaluate rich, engaging workshops with young people as well as exploring how you develop your professional identity as a facilitator.
