"An electrifying hit...a wonderful production by Richard Eyre"

Daily Telegraph

Arriving home after an extended honeymoon Hedda Gabler struggles with an existence that is, for her, devoid of excitement and enchantment. Filled with a passion for life that cannot be confined by her marriage or 'perfect home', Hedda strives to find a way to fulfil her desires by manipulating those around her...

Richard Eyre was Director of the National Theatre from 1988-1997. His work includes his award-winning production of The Crucible on Broadway, Nicholas Wright's Vincent in Brixton at the National Theatre and in the West End, and the film Stage Beauty.
