Gala Performance of Macbeth

On 27 January 2005 many loyal friends and supporters of the Almeida Theatre joined us for a special gala evening  to help celebrate our 25th Anniversary.

Guests arrived at the theatre to enjoy champagne and canapes before watching Simon Russell Beale as Macbeth. They were then whisked off to the Gagosian Gallery in King's Cross, for a fabulous post-show party  which included bison martinis, caiprissma cocktails and bowls of venison haunch with neeps, tatties and warmed baby figs.

Familiar faces from Almeida past and present including former artistic directors Pierre Audi and Jonathan Kent joined Michael Attenborough and the Gala co-chairs, producer Thelma Holt and actor Damian Lewis, in paying tribute to a quarter of a century of the Almeida Theatre.
