Booking Spring 2010 Season

We are delighted to announce that booking is now open for our exciting Spring 2010 season.

 

The season opens with an all star cast in Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, followed by Pulitzer Prize winning drama Ruined by Lynn Nottage, and finally we present Andrew Upton's new adaptation of the iconic Ingmar Bergman film Through a Glass Darkly.

Michael Attenborough will direct Shakespeare's classic tale of morality and scandal. Cast includes Olivier Award-winner Rory Kinnear, BAFTA-winner Anna Maxwell Martin and renowned stage and screen actor Ben Miles.

In a small mining town deep in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country ravaged by the world’s deadliest civil war, Mama Nadi is forced to reassess her business priorities and personal loyalties as the realities of life in war provide the ultimate test for the human spirit. Ruined was the winner of the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and will feature Jenny Jules in the lead role, Mama Nadi.

Karin is a young wife, an older sister and an only daughter, whose kaleidoscopic interior world is a constantly changing picture where the boundaries between the ordinary and extraordinary are becoming increasingly blurred. Haunting and sensual, Through a Glass Darkly is the iconic 1961 film by legendary Swedish director and screenwriter Ingmar Bergman, which has been adapted for stage by Andrew Upton, co-artistic director of Sydney Theatre Company.
