Gala Performance of The Lady from the Sea

Two days before the theatre’s official re-opening in May 2003 an exclusive benefit was hosted to launch the theatre. 
 
Amongst others, Emilia Fox, Lady Helen Taylor, Yasmin & Simon Le Bon, Sharleen Spiteri and Joseph Fiennes joined our committed supporters in watching Natasha Richardson playing the leading role in Ibsen’s The Lady from the Sea.
 
Accompanied by her husband Liam Neeson, Natasha, the cast and the full audience enjoyed an Armani influenced post show party at a local gallery. Pink lighting shimmering from the rafters, orchids and Japanese lanterns lined the entrance and guests enjoyed sushi while sipping champagne, dancing to DJ Chris Coco and listening to Michael Attenborough thank the committee and our Almeida friends for  their passion and loyalty.
