Parallax

Young Friends of the Almeida

By Rebecca Prichard

Directed By Natalie Abrahami

production information

What if our lives became intertwined for eternity with the strangers that exist alongside us; the people we have never known? It would be strange to think that a part of them were a part of you.

Rebecca Prichard's Parallax, performed by the Young Friends of the Almeida and directed by the former Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre Natalie Abrahami, explores the reality of our ever-sprawling city; how it can swallow you up, or be the spark that brings us together.

Seeing Daniel

All performances of Parallax will be preceded by the 10-minute curtain-raiser Seeing Daniel, written by Young Friend Becky Brown and directed by Young Friends Jasmin Anderson and Nerissa Tilouche.

Seeing Daniel is inspired by the themes in Parallax. Brown developed the piece under the mentorship of Rebecca Prichard; Anderson and Tilouche shadowed director Natalie Abrahami and have been mentored through the directing process by Abigail Graham.

I hope to go in to acting and writing for film and television after I graduate
