production information

This summer, join us for a rare opportunity to experience a reading of Homer’s The Iliad.

From morning until night, more than 50 artists will be reading individual sections - beginning at the British Museum and culminating on the Almeida stage with the wrath of Achilles.

Directed by Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold and Associate Director Robert Icke, Homer’s poem is the source myth of Greek drama and the greatest story of heroism, betrayal and war in literature.

Join us for a few chapters or for the entire tale — wherever your sense of adventure takes you.

Join our e-list for further information and casting updates.

In association with the British Museum.

Based on Robert Fagles’ translation of the Iliad published by Penguin
