Molière's
By Richard Bean
Tickets £6 - £29.50
From one of the greatest comic writers in French history, Molière's classic farce pokes frun at Argan - a man so greedily obsessed by his own imaginary ailments, he can no longer control his chaotic household or the mercenary medics he employs.
With doctors determined to grow fat from the profits of his conditions, Argan's closest relatives battle to show him the truth of his situation. Using elaborate trickery, they strive to cure the real disease from which he suffers, managing to pile confusion upon hilarious confusion.
Richard Bean's writing credits include Harvest and the award-winning Under the Whaleback, both presented at the Royal Court Theatre.
Lindsay Posner directed David Mamet's Romance at the Almeida, The Birthday Party and A Life in the Theatre in London's West End.
